Shelton Powell is a Canadian entrepreneur and founder of Cart Capital, an eCommerce infrastructure company built around the philosophy that sustainable brands are created through systems, operational discipline, and scalable infrastructure. Born and raised in Ottawa, Canada with Jamaican roots, Shelton developed an early entrepreneurial mindset shaped by discipline, competition, and a desire to create meaningful opportunities for himself and his community. At sixteen, Shelton discovered eCommerce and quickly became immersed in online business operations, building brands while still in school. After working a series of jobs across customer service, retail, childcare, and telecommunications, he left traditional employment at nineteen to pursue entrepreneurship full time. Today, Shelton leads Cart Capital, which supports eCommerce brands through business setup, supplier relationships, media buying, backend operations, and growth infrastructure. Alongside his business ventures, he creates educational content focused on entrepreneurship, systems, and alternative career paths outside traditional employment.
